Currently I’m a photo/video intern at The Des Moines Register in Iowa and a 2024 graduate from the University of Iowa with a B.A. in journalism and cinema with a minor in history.

I spent the rest of 2024 at The Minnesota Star Tribune in Minneapolis as an intern covering daily assignments and pitching stories and continued my career with an internship for the first half of 2025 with MLive.

After three years as a filmmaker and photojournalist for The Daily Iowan and a member of the Daily Iowan Documentary Workshop, I became the managing visuals editor in in my fourth year at the DI.

During my time at the DI, I’ve led a staff of documentary photojournalists and filmmakers through daily coverage of news, features, and sports. Outside of daily coverage and the production of two feature-length films and a photobook, a majority of the stories I tell focus on aspects of rural communities ranging from small towns, politicians, and racing.

In the summer of 2023, I interned for The Oskaloosa Herald which connected me back to my small-town roots. There I highlighted local events and spotlighted local figures.
